1. Privacy policy

What we collect. When you use a sign-up form, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, cell phone number, city and state. We also collect basic technical information, such as browser type and pages visited, to keep the site working and to measure use.

Fonts. To display this site's typefaces, your browser loads font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When it does, Google receives your IP address and browser details under Google's own privacy policy. We do not send Google any other information from this site.

How we use it. We use this information to send the due-date reminders, news and other messages you request, to answer your questions, and to maintain the site. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site and send messages, under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law.

Retention and security. We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and we use reasonable safeguards. No system is completely secure.

Children. This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Cookies. The site may use cookies or similar technology for basic functions and measurement. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

2. Patient information notice

This website provides general educational information. It is not a covered entity under HIPAA, and you should not send patient records, protected health information or other sensitive medical information through the website, forms, email or text. If you need to share such information with a professional advisor, use a secure method agreed in advance.

3. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) may give you rights to know what personal information we hold, to request correction or deletion, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 10. We will verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Texts will be sent only after you give express consent in the sign-up process, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Email messages will include our name and mailing address and an unsubscribe option, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

8. Accuracy, updates and corrections

We research and cite official sources, such as the IRS, for rules and deadlines, and we label each page with its last-reviewed date. Our compliance calendar is reviewed at least quarterly and when laws change. If you find an error, please contact us. We correct verified errors promptly and note material updates on the page.
